Karlex Beverages

Karlex started with a strong product story and a clear cultural foundation: a traditional hibiscus drink, originally made at home during the pandemic, that quickly became a favorite among friends and family for its bold flavor, vibrant color, and natural ingredients.

The challenge was to turn that momentum into a brand that could scale, and one that felt contemporary and commercially viable without losing the authenticity and care that made the product special in the first place.

The solution was to build off their original brand system in a way that positioned Karlex as both rooted and refreshing: grounded in the heritage of drinks like Sobolo, Zobo, Bissap, and Sorrel, but reintroduced through a more modern, lightly carbonated experience. The goal was to reflect the product’s energy, natural ingredient story, and cultural resonance in a way that felt bold, approachable, and distinct on shelf.

The final identity helped bridge tradition and modernity, giving Karlex a visual presence that celebrates its origins while inviting a wider audience into the brand.
